Citizens Platform Product Owner - End User Compute in Irving, Texas

3 Days Hybrid from any of our locations in RI, NJ, NC, TX or AZ

Role is not relocation eligible.

As the Product Owner for end user computing in the Windows Desktop Engineering space, you will be responsible for driving the stories, journeys, and/or experiences of product, while also maintaining the integrity of the product user journeys. You will create and manage the platform and/or product vision, strategy, and roadmap, working with all stakeholders to ensure that their needs and demands are a part of the prioritization process. You will work cross functionally as a part of the 'discovery' team to flush out concepts, create features, groom the 'master' backlog, and developing success and acceptance criteria for Pod stories. This role will also be responsible for maintaining the POD budget.

You will work with the Compute Engineering POD to help aligning roadmaps with working being done in the POD, help set priorities, keep product releases dates aligned , and to keep the team focused on what was agreed to.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Work with customers, key partners, and colleagues to help to define a product vision and strategy that is aligned with the high-level product roadmap.

  • Work with team to define and articulate a long-term product strategy and roadmap with clearly defined business metrics and targets.

  • Define product direction, prioritize and manage features that will deliver best of class experiences for Citizens stakeholders.

  • Research, troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend solutions to increasingly complex business or technical problems.

  • Analyze user feedback and data from the existing digital platform and combine these insights with market analysis to drive product strategy.

  • Supports multiple projects with successful results and within reasonable timeframes. Understands and can explain project direction, approach, priorities, events and status to all project resources and business leaders. Ensure project deliverables are on time while meeting customer goals and expectations.

Skills

Technical Understanding

  • In-depth knowledge of desktop hardware, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and operating systems.

  • Experience using Digital Employee Experience tools

  • Desktop Management tools experience

  • PC Refresh process and logistics

  • Familiarly with PC build process using technologies like Microsoft Autopilot and Microsoft System Center

  • Networking & Security: Understanding of network protocols, security protocols, ZTNA , VPNs, and desktop-related cybersecurity practices.

  • Systems Integration: Ability to oversee the integration of desktop compute with other IT systems and services.

Product Management

  • Roadmap & Backlog Management: Skills in defining and prioritizing the product backlog, setting a clear product roadmap, and aligning it with organizational goals

  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including technical teams and business users.

  • Agile Methodology: Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban frameworks for managing product development cycles.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Leading cross-functional teams, including engineering, security, and networking groups.

  • Team Collaboration: Encouraging collaboration between desktop engineers, IT support, and other related teams.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to desktop compute environments.

Strategic Thinking & Vision

  • Business Acumen: Understanding how desktop compute services impact business processes and user productivity.

  • Visionary Leadership: Crafting a long-term vision for desktop compute engineering, including scalability and modernization strategies (e.g., cloud adoption).

  • Cost Management: Managing budgets, costs, and resources effectively, especially

User-Centric Focus

  • User Experience (UX): Prioritizing user satisfaction and ensuring that desktop services provide a seamless, high-performance experience.

  • Customer Feedback Analysis: Gathering and acting on feedback from end-users to enhance the desktop environment.

Communication & Documentation

  • Technical Documentation: Producing and maintaining clear documentation for desktop computing services, processes, and policies.

  • Clear Communication: Translating complex technical issues into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.

Vendor & Third-Party Management

  • Vendor Relations: Managing relationships with vendors providing desktop solutions (e.g., Microsoft, VMware) and negotiating contracts.

  • Licensing & Compliance: Ensuring licensing requirements and compliance with industry standards are met.

By mastering these skills, a Product Owner in Desktop Compute Engineering can effectively manage desktop services that are critical to an organization’s infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner for at least 2 years

  • Experience in SCRUM development, in-depth knowledge of agile processes and principles

  • Good communicational, organizational and presentation skills.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • English language in written and spoken form

  • Engagement in constantly making things better

  • Focus on Customer user experience

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40

  • Work Schedule: M - F
