Job Summary and Qualifications

The Scrub Tech is responsible for assisting the physician with scheduled and emergency cesarean sections. As an integral member of the team, Surgical Techs make meaningful differences in patient’s lives. What you will do in this role:

• The Scrub Tech assists the nurses in Women’s Services with duties designated by charge nurse, including stocking of rooms, setting up delivery tables, and transporting patients.

• The Scrub Tech in lieu of the Unit Secretary will transcribe physicians’ orders, answer phones and patient call lights and maintain supplies.

• The Scrub Tech performs specific job functions while adhering to established hospital and department guidelines and must have excellent organization and communication skills.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Certified Surgical Technologist
