Vistra Lead Analyst, Business Analytics in Irving, Texas

Job Summary

Responsible for developing/delivering executive-level presentations, reporting, analysis, and application solutions that provide insights into business markets KPIs, with specialization in our non-Texas growth regions. Lead regular management and sales executive discussions on deal analytics, load forecasting, & business application development. Provide deep-dive analytical support to uncover root causes to market trends in our competitive business market pricing environment. This role will work with members of the Business Markets & Technology teams to develop/improve sales processes & procedures, to help the business hit our KPIs.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

•Develop/deliver executive-level presentations to communicate Business Markets storylines and lead regular management discussion on strategies, tactics and performance.

•Provide on-going deal analytical support and reporting on non-Texas Business Markets sales channels.

•Deliver key insights into Business Markets by uncovering root causes for trends in sales, pricing, and load forecasting with the ability to derive insights from complex data for presentation and decision making in our non-Texas sales regions.

•Provide deep-dive analytical support for various sales channels, including performance against origination and delivery goals. Utilize visualization tools such as Tableau & Salesforce Wave Analytics as applicable.

•Work with various internal/external teams by providing data expertise, offering original perspectives, and challenging conventional views to better align decision making/perceptions with changing business needs.

•Identify process improvements to enhance Business Markets effectiveness and efficiency

•Develop and Implement business applications that support process improvement enhancements.

•Support development of Business Markets processes & procedures.

•Integrate and manage data from various systems across various organizations.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

•7+ years relative industry experience.

•3+ years of Non-Texas Electric Utility experience, Load Forecasting and/or Pricing experience preferred.

•2+ years of experience extracting and analyzing large volume of data using SQL, pivot tables and other large data analysis tools.

•2+ years' experience with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.

•Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills

•Strong communication skills.

•Business to Business experience required.

•HS Diploma or equivalency required.

•Visa Sponsorship is Unavailable

•This position is Hybrid for the Sierra Office location only in Irving, TX.

•SLAs on turn around time for standard reports, ad-hoc requests, & business application development.

•Development of clear, concise and effective executive-level reporting and presentations.
