POSITION DESCRIPTION: Government and Public Sector Account Executive

Compensation: 55k to 65k salary

Location: Irving, Tx

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm

Hybrid environment (two days remote, three in office)

The objective of the Government and Public Sector Account Executive - To achieve the revenue and profit plans/goals of an assigned sales territory. This territory will include, but not be limited to, public school systems, military facilities, municipality contracts, correctional facilities and other government owned and/or run facilities. This position will be responsible for attaining a revenue plan that includes maintaining and growing revenue from the defined territory.


Essential Functions:


  • Using various government and public sector information platforms, to develop, update, maintain and execute an approved and assigned accounts territory sales plan that includes developing prospects, their sales cycle plans, their projected revenue, their projected decision dates, and their projected implementation/first service dates.
  • Develop standardized system, coordinating with all applicable LES departments, for completing documents and forms commonly required as part of governmental bids, RFPs, RFIs, and all forms of electronic and paper submissions.
  • Create and maintain outstanding professional business relationships with key executive level decision making contact(s) within current and prospective grease trap services accounts.
  • Utilize selling skills to learn about the prospect/customers business and the decision makers individual, corporate and/or departmental needs to position LES products and services to motivate and move the decision maker(s) throughout the sales cycle.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all government and public sector customers through attentive account management.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.

Requirements:


Employment Experience and Skills:

  • One year business to business sales experience.
  • Preferred experience with federal, state, local, or any level of government procurement and contracting.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a consistent history of attaining monthly, quarterly and annual revenue plans/goals as well as the creation and execution of annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly sales territory plans.
  • Experience in a defined sales territory demonstrating strong time and planning skills.
  • Experience in prospect identification and development
  • Exceptional listening skills and strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office tools.

Education:

  • 4 year college/university degree or 1- 4 years of non consumer outside territorial sales experience in lieu of the 4 year college/university degree required.
