Executive Director, Brand & External Relations will have leadership of all Fluor's brand strategy, brand design and development and external communications deliverables. They will report to the Senior Vice President Corporate Affairs, while working closely with the global Corporate Affairs Leadership Council to guide strategic brand messaging and to better tell the Fluor story globally. The position requires decision making in areas that may impact the organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices or compliance programs. This position is called upon to strategically shape the brand evolution and drive and implement external communications globally.

BRAND MESSAGING / POSITIONING

• Lead the crafting of the brand messaging and positioning in the market and the related digital assets

• Oversee the brand team, Brand Council and Brand Focus Groups

• Ensure that Fluor has a compelling, cohesive brand story that is relevant to internal and external stakeholders

• Build and enhance global recognition of Fluor's brand, services, offerings, and elevate the visibility of Fluor’s purpose, projects and talented people

• Serve as a strategic brand advisor to the SVP Corporate Affairs, the Brand Council and the Corporate Affairs Leadership Council

• Strategically guide development of marketing materials for collateral, proposals, interviews, and public relations to ensure consistent brand messaging

• Monitor and analyze competitor brand positioning

• Strategically advise the Corporate Affairs Leadership Council, the Sales Leadership Council, the Corporate Reporting Working Group and the Marketing Services Leadership on how best to implement the brand across a range of internal and external collateral

EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS AND MEDIA RELATIONS

• Lead media and PR initiatives, and reputation and crisis management

• Serve as the editor-in-chief on key external communications

• Create and execute innovative public relations strategies through the use of both traditional and digital media channels to assist Fluor leadership in cultivating and enhancing relationships with employees, clients, shareholders, media and the general public

• Counsel and communicate with top management on communication policy, media relations issues and branding and change management programs

• Manage a global and diverse staff and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of those employees
