Insight Global Sr. Staff Accountant & Payroll Specialist (5 Days Onsite in Irvi in Irvine, California
Job Description
We are seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant & Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will assist with the accounting and financial operations, focusing on daily payroll, loan reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes. This full-time, on-site position (Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 6 PM) reports directly to the Director of Accounting.
Duties & Responsibilities
Process daily commission, monthly bonus, and semi-monthly payroll.
Configure compensation plans and ensure data integration between systems.
Export and import payroll data accurately.
Handle deductions, garnishments, and timecard/expense data.
Reconcile bank accounts daily and prepare monthly reconciliations.
Record and reconcile loan-level transactions.
Prepare and record journal entries.
Analyze general ledger details and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
Assist with financial period close, audits, and tax filings.
Identify and report process improvements.
Respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Accounting.

Skills and Requirements
Experience & Education Requirements
Minimum three years of general accounting and payroll experience; five years preferred.
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Accounting or Finance).
Masters Degree and/or CPA preferred, but not required.
Prior mortgage accounting experience preferred, but not required.
Experience with LoanVision, LendingPad, QCommisisons, and/or Paycor preferred, but not required.
Skills & Abilities
Strong mathematical skills and understanding of GAAP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level) and other Microsoft Office products.
Team-oriented, but able to work independently.
Committed work ethic and dependability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and organization.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. null
