Job Description

A client in Irvine, CA is seeking a backend AWS Engineer to work with engineers/quality engineers and product owners to validate assumptions, be part of the execution/implementation, involved in code reviews, release planning, etc. 30% of the role will be research - understanding, documenting and vetting our solutions and documents in visual design, 30% will e diseminating the knowledge wit peers, engineers and QE's/Testers to see how the system works/how it is going to be tested, etc while the remainder of the role will be implementing the solutions with peers on the engineering team. The ideal candidate will go onsite in Irvine, CA 2 days/week but we are open to the right candidate being 100% remote.

Skills and Requirements

• securely integrating with 3rd party HTTP/REST APIs

• building and securing HTTP/REST APIs within the AWS cloud.

• authoring HTTP/REST API specifications as well as testing HTTP/REST APIs

• building serverless-first solutions on AWS cloud.

• using infrastructure as code (IaC) to define and deploy AWS cloud constructs.

• strong interpersonal / communication skills

• ability/desire to lead a team of 1-2 other engineers - performing code reviews, authoring/validating release notes,

• scheduling, obtaining change approvals, and leading the execution of deployments.
