Robert Half Purchasing Agent in Irvine, California

Description We are offering an employment opportunity for a Purchasing Agent in Irvine, California. This role is positioned in the industry of purchasing and procurement, where the selected candidate will be responsible for managing communications with suppliers, inventory analysis, and training coordination for the purchasing personnel, among other tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee communications with US and Global suppliers regarding acceptance of ingredient and packaging specifications, destruction of obsolete print plates, and tasks supporting qualifications. • Conduct analysis on inventory balances and depletion for obsolete materials. • Coordinate and administer training for purchasing personnel across all systems roles and responsibilities. • Manage processes related to tooling withdrawals and receipts. • Oversee inventories of packaging, chemicals, and spare parts, including periodic confirmation of inventory location and conducting annual physical inventory counts. • Manage month end inventory count and report to the Purchasing Manager, determining forecast for suppliers. • Monitor completion and delivery of purchase orders. • Ensure employee conduct aligns with the company's Mission, Vision, Values, and Code of Conduct. • Respect the rights, privacy, and property of others, maintaining strict confidentiality. • Maintain required certification/license in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will have proven skills in areas such as Accounting Software Systems, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Buying Processes, Purchasing Activities, and Purchasing Procurement. Requirements • Possession of a minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing role or a similar capacity. • Demonstrated experience in Purchasing Activities, Purchasing Department operations, Purchasing Functions and Purchasing Materials. • Solid understanding of Buying Processes, Purchasing planning, and Purchasing Procurement. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain detail oriented relationships with colleagues. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in tasks.
