Mechanical Engineering Intern- Irvine, CA

Panasonic Avionics Corporation seeks motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our growing Mechanical Engineering team in our Irvine, CA, office. This 12-week paid internship will start in June and continue through August 2025, with an opportunity to potentially continue through the school year.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26- $38. The final offer amount may vary and is based on the candidates' year in school. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design process of our products

  • Participate in Design concept reviews, CAD and drawing updates including releasing on a PLM system.

  • The intern will also participate in thermal, structural testing verifications and report creation.

  • The intern will have the opportunity to partnership with a senior engineer and participate in the design process of our products.

  • Intern will also have the opportunity to work on product concept reviews, parts and or assembly CAD and drawing creation and updates including releasing on a PLM system.

  • The intern will also participate in testing verifications including how to interpret and validate data to make design decisions for design improvements.

Qualifications

  • Graduate Mechanical Engineer with knowledge in Thermodynamics and structural science.

  • Electronics, computers and circuits knowledge preferred

  • Ability to commute and come in person to Irvine, CA office.
