Job Description

This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. The role requires working under close supervision to perform a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. Most of the work (95%) will be performed using a microscope. The operator must follow specified and standardized procedures, ensure job documentation is accurate and up-to-date, communicate effectively, and maintain a positive attitude. Adherence to safety guidelines and participation in continuous improvement initiatives are crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell.

  • Perform assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related medical device assemblies.

  • Spend 95% of the job working on a microscope.

  • Follow specified and standardized procedures for routine assignments.

  • Ensure job documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions clearly to all levels of manufacturing management.

  • Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers.

  • Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate safety devices during all operations.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes.

  • Maintain accurate records for traveler and quality documents to ensure traceability and address quality issues.

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing.

  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to set and monitor individual goals and cell performance metrics.

  • Support all divisional initiatives in compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.

  • Understanding and following verbal instructions.

  • Utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.

Work Environment

The job is performed in a cleanroom environment with strict dress code requirements. Clothing must be non-shedding, clean, and free of contamination. Safety and cleanliness are paramount, and all attire must comply with cleanroom standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr.
