Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Assembler for our 1st Shift, 6am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday (9/80 schedule). The ideal candidate must be comfortable with overtime as needed. This role involves working with reliable, low EMI tactical power systems for the US military.

Responsibilities

• Perform various types of soldering including surface mount, thru-hole, and hand-soldering.

• Consult production schedule to prepare the work area and equipment.

• Gather components needed to meet production schedules.

• Set up equipment and solder components together.

• Complete projects by smoothing rough edges of products.

• Document production totals and any errors.

• Clean work area and equipment.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Work 5% of the time under a microscope.

Essential Skills

• Experience with circular connectors.

• 3-5+ years of soldering experience (SMT, thru-hole, and cable soldering).

• J-STD-001 or IPC 610 certified (certificates can be expired by 2-3 years).

• Proficiency in assembly, soldering, and SMT.

• Ability to read equipment manuals.

• Extensive knowledge of soldering processes and techniques.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent time management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with electronic assembly, surface mount, blueprints, and schematics.

• J-STD-001, IPC 610, and IPC 620 certifications.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
