Hybrid Schedule: 3 days In-office / 2 Remote
Salary: $120,000-$150,000
Level: Mid
P2S has an excellent opportunity for a talented electrical engineer to support our healthcare studio in our Long Beach or Irvine office. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience designing Electrical systems for new and existing buildings.
General Responsibilities
Pre-Design Engineering
Review existing as-built drawings.
Perform field investigations.
Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines.
Collaborate with team members regarding design coordination, schedules, and deliverables.
Perform feasibility studies.
Prepare schematic designs.
Design Engineering
Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE.
Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules.
Design lighting selection and controls.
Design normal, emergency, and renewable power systems.
Perform Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies.
Experience with low voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) systems a plus
Position Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Field
Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification is preferred
LEED Accreditation is a plus
PE License is a plus
Working Knowledge
Microsoft Office Suite
AutoCAD
Revit
California Building Code
National Electrical Code
HCAI experience is a plus
Net Zero Energy/Carbon experience a plus
