Medical Device Production Technician

Job Description

  • This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices, primarily in a clean room environment.

  • The role includes the formulation of polymers and spray coating formulations, using microscopes for medical device production, and operating various equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery to produce medical devices that meet specifications.

  • Follow manufacturing instructions and update relevant job documentation accurately for traceability.

  • Prepare and pack products for sterilization.

  • Inspect products using a microscope.

  • Set up coating machines and perform coating operations.

  • Prepare excipient and spray coating formulations, and test formulations.

  • Package sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.

  • Identify supplies that need replenishment.

  • Build components needed for top-level work orders.

  • Complete cleaning activities as required.

  • Ensure activities comply with GMPs.

Essential Skills

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in the medical device industry.

  • Familiarity with cleanroom/gowning and de-gowning processes.

  • Good hand/eye dexterity and attention to detail.

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer software packages.

  • Medium level proficiency in English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.

  • Experience with microscope inspection preferred.

  • Pharmaceutical/coating experience required for coating positions.

  • Ability to communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to supervisors and management.

  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

  • Comfort working with chemicals.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Additional Information:

  • 2nd: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

  • *Start times may be adjusted depending on the specific operations assigned.

  • We do ask teammates to work overtime on weekdays and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) if needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00
