Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator for a position paying $20/hr. The role involves working on the 2nd Shift from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, with potential for 1-2 hours of overtime daily. Initial training will take place on the 1st Shift for two months (7:30 am-4:00 pm). There is also the possibility of working 1st shift on Saturdays for 5 hours, with additional overtime if needed. Our company manufactures diamond blades and core bits for the construction, stone, and mining industries. The role requires flexibility in work assignments and cross-training in multiple areas, including dressing, packaging, painting, grinding, CET printing, and stamping. You will need to be adaptable and shift between various production roles and locations as assigned.

Hard Skills

  • At least 1 year of Machine Operator experience

  • Ability to lift 35-50 lbs

  • Basic math skills

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Basic computer skills (experience using Windows applications)

  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

  • Attention to detail

Soft Skills

  • Open to learning and helping in various departments within production

  • Willingness to be trained

  • Good attitude

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 5 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Irvine, California.

Work Environment

The workplace includes a warehouse with 120 employees working across 1st and 2nd shifts. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed shoes and safety glasses are required. The environment can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, with exposure to noise, dust, and other particles. You will frequently lift up to 35 lbs, stand or sit for extended periods, and engage in repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing. The job involves operating large equipment and machinery, including production machines and forklifts.
