Position: Maintenance Worker - AL

Location: Irondale, AL

Shift: Monday-Friday; 8am-4pm

Job Description:

Repairs physical structures of building, cleans agency facilities and maintains grounds.

Essential Duties:

Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition Organize custodial closets and work spaces Maintain working condition of all cleaning equipment.

Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.

Cuts grass, dig/plant flowers, and trims weeds as directed.

Cleans internal areas of buildings, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.

Washes windows.

Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for pickup.

Paints interior and exterior walls and trim as assigned.

Facility repairs as assigned by Supervisor or through work order program.

Assists with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.

Qualifications:

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, employee must pass a motor vehicle screening. Must be 18 years of age or older and be able to pass a criminal background check. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to successfully complete required training which include approved CPR and First Aid, and Crisis Management. An initial tuberculosis screening; Annual tuberculosis screening to be completed only if there has been known exposure or evidence of ongoing TB transmission. Must be able to travel, as applicable with a valid, current driver’s license.
