One permanent full-time position available Full salary range: $54,516.80 - $69,950.40 Hours: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Job summary: Under general direction, performs basic service, maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment in the City municipal fleet.

Minimum qualifications: Associates degree from an accredited educational institution; or two years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Automotive/Diesel Mechanics. Experience in auto/diesel mechanics, fleet maintenance, or related. Forklift certification required within 60 days of hire. Valid State of Iowa drivers license with a satisfactory driving record. Satisfactory driving record. Valid State of Iowa commercial drivers license instruction permit upon first day in position. Valid State of Iowa Class B commercial drivers license with air brake endorsement within 6 months of hire. Meet federal drug testing requirements. Requires a pre-employment drug screen. Must be 18 years of age. Must pass criminal background check.

Preferred qualifications: Associates degree from an accredited educational institution and one year of related experience; or three years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
