We are seeking applicants for aPurchasing Managerin our International Falls, MN Paper Mill. The International Falls facility is a White Paper Mill owned by Packaging Corporation of America.
Principle Responsibilities
Manage the purchasing and storeroom functions
Ensure compliance with all PCA purchasing policies
Manage the vendor evaluation process, with an effective vendor evaluation schedule and disciplined follow up of vendor status criteria
Oversee the quoting, purchase order and order tracking functions
Hiring and training staff
Buy materials and services
Prepare request for quotes and bid packages
Maintain adequate inventories to ensure no operational disruptions
Ensure the accuracy of storeroom transactions
Determine appropriate MRO and critical spare parts/supply inventories for the warehouses under his/her supervision, and procurement support for capital projects.
Supervise purchasing agents
Identify alternate sources for materials and services
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience
Supervisory experience
CPM preferred
5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
