Responsible for evaluating all Inpatient, Observations, Ancillary, and all Clinic Departments scheduled appointments and determining if an authorization/certification/admission notice is required. This position will review patient demographics, insurance verifications, prepare documentation requests for authorization/certification with the insurance carriers. Work closely with Case Management, Department Directors, Practitioners, scheduling, and registration to complete their duties. This position will also assist billing with the needs of the department and complete tasks assigned, such as follow-up duties, assisting patient/insurance plans with questions.
