Army National Guard Units PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT) in Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT), Position Description Number D1064000 and is part of the PA Army Aviation Support Facility 1, National Guard. 1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement. Responsibilities As a Production Controller (AIRCRAFT), GS-1152-09, you will analyze allocated Flying Hour Program (FHP). Analyze supported Aviation units' logistics capabilities and training requirements. Develop maintenance plans to maximize AASF services to maintain aircraft readiness. Develop schedules of aircraft and hours to be flown to satisfy the AASF operational aircraft requirements. Develop integrated workload schedules and priorities to balance operational and training flying requirements and logistics capabilities. Use Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation (ULLS-A) to facilitate management of AASF logistics operations. Serve as contact point between the Logistics Manager/Supervisory Maintenance Test Pilot and work centers. Coordinate Maintenance Test Flights (MTF) and Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC) to ensure optimum availability of ready aircraft. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees at the Army Aviation Support Facility 1 AOC 2: NG employees in the State Army Aviation Office (This includes AASF 1, AASF 2, and EAATS) AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4: All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (This includes Traditional Airmen, Temporary Technicians and AGR Personnel) AOC 5: Individuals who are currently serving in another branch of service who are willing to become members of the PANG Military Grades: WARRANT OFFICER: WO1-CW3 ENLISTED: E1-E9 Supervisor for this position is CW4 Ofak GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must indicate at least 24 months experience, education or training preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled. They shall not be eligible for retirement contributions, participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, or a supplemental or redetermined annuity for the employment period. Discontinued service retirement annuitants (i.e., retired under section 8336(d)(1) or 8414(b)(1)(A) of title 5 United States Code) appointed to the Department of Defense may elect to be subject to retirement provisions of the new appointment as appropriate.
