Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Workers Compensation Claims Analyst in Indianapolis, Indiana
Description
Responsibilities:
Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle workers compensation claims in a good faith manner.
Completes all claims handling steps on assigned claims while adhering to established Company guidelines, best practices and to all laws pertaining to claim settlements.
Provides leadership, guidance, training to the team and be a mentor to team members.
Assists Manager in the development of co-workers with problem solving and decision-making skills by sharing position knowledge and job experiences.
Analyzes, researches and resolves escalated problem claim cases.
Assists Manager with checks and balances to ensure that the manual and automated transactions are processed accurately and will monitor and make recommendations on process improvements.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent. College degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in worker’s compensation claims handling.
Requires extensive knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations.
Oversees regulatory changes and mandates by states and other directives and responsible to stay abreast of any changes or trends.
Must be a positive influence in establishing, developing, and maintaining professional working relationships with internal and external customers to ensure prompt, efficient service and provide a positive customer experience.
Ability to travel to customer’s location.
