V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Systems Solution Architect to join our team!

Job Description:

The Systems Solutions Architect for V2X plays a critical role deriving a conceptual design from vague guidance and providing an achievable vision from this conceptual design phase through completion of a product.

Other responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Engagement with DoD acquisition and technical customers on roadmap development and requirement maturation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, architecture, and design.

  • Develop and maintain system architecture documentation, including system diagrams, interface specifications, and technical standards.

  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, components, and tools for system development.

  • Ensure compliance with defense standards, regulations, and security protocols.

  • Lead system integration efforts, working closely with software engineers, hardware designers, and other stakeholders.

  • Engagement with business development and Program Area Chief Engineer on shaping business strategy.

  • Engagement with customers, teammates, and suppliers for technology and pursuit development.

  • Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Provide technical guidance to project teams throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Participate in system testing, validation, and verification activities.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years related experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering

  • Experience in engaging and shaping vision with DoD requirements officers and system owners

  • Experience with DoD platform, weapons, avionics, or tactical systems and/or military platforms, architectures, capabilities, and missions"?

  • Deep understanding and application of Model Based Systems Engineering methods, tools and languages

  • Experience with digital engineering transformation activities and modern product development methods

  • Experience with various DoD data interfaces including unique to vehicles and weapons

  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

  • Extensive experience in capture management: creating/reviewing RFPs, SOWs, BOEs, tech volumes, proposals

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with multiple levels of management and individual contributors on teams

  • Experience on DoD Internal Research and Development (IRAD, Customer Research and Development (CRAD), Technical Demonstration (TD), System Development and Demonstration (SDD) or Engineering, Manufacturing, & Development (EMD) Programs

  • Ability to provide technical leadership and to work within an IPT that includes engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance and other disciplines

  • Demonstrated sound ethical values built upon trust, respect, accountability, collaboration and innovation.

  • Must be a US Citizen with a DoD Secret level clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated successful military vehicle and weapon system integration experience

  • Experience within Army acquisition

  • Demonstrated understanding of RF communication principles

  • Demonstrated understanding of Radar principles

  • Experience using DOORS, MagicDraw, or other requirements management and system architecture tools

  • Experience with DoD development process

  • Current/active DoD Secret level or higher clearance

Desired Certifications:

  • Open Group Certified Architect

Education Requirements:

  • B.S. in Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) degree program
