The Supply Distribution Associate performs material handling functions including but not limited to: Supply Distribution, Linen Distribution, Shipping/Receiving, and Sterile Processing (where applicable).

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to provide service to others in a willing and courteous manner, foster teamwork with peers and other hospital staff. As a Supply Distribution Associate, you will perform Supply and Linen Distribution, management of backordered and substitute inventory deliveries, LUM (low unit of measure) system inventory knowledge, maintains a base knowledge of medical supplies, responds to calls from clinical areas for special requests, assists with product recall alerts and maintains crash cart supply process.

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).

• Previous material handling experience preferred.

• Ability to operate material handling related equipment safely.

• Knowledge of inventory and computer related inventory functions.

• Works with clinical areas to establish needs, changes, and new item processes.

• Helps manage manufacture backorder processes for all customers.

• Manages recall process for items in par levels.

• Works with clinical areas for proper storage and handling needs of items stored in clean storage areas.

• Help maintain and educate clinical staff on ParEx software as well as maintaining the computers and scales linked to the software.

• Maintains consistent monitoring of supply expiration dates.

• Performs, supports, and participates in Department Quality Assurance Program and process improvement.
