Aston Carter Staff Accountant in Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Summary: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with the overall financial management of the company. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

  • Support internal and external audits.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the services industry.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).

  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
