Job Description:
The Senior Analyst – Strategic Product Compliance is an exciting and rewarding global role within Global Strategic Marketing – a high caliber team responsible for deeply understanding the market and developing product and commercial strategies to best position Allison for success.Reporting to the Associate Director, Global Product Strategy and working with our global team, the role’s primary purpose will be to work cross-functionally to capture and interpret regulatory requirements and changes in the markets Allison operates in, understand and elevate the customer and commercial impact of these changes, and propose innovative and elegant solutions to best position Allison and its product portfolio with its global customers, channel members and partners. This is an opportunity to inspire change within Allison and the commercial vehicle industry at scale and around the globe, amidst a rapidly changing and constantly varying regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent Global Strategic Marketing and the wider Marketing, Sales & Service (MSS) organization across a wide range of cross-functional venues, leading our response to the constantly evolving global regulatory landscape
Working with our global MSS organization and OEMs, capture, interpret and elevate regulatory and compliance developments across the OEMs’ organizations to ensure that Allison is successfully positioned to communicate and lead changes with its global set of customers and develop commercial solutions
Working with colleagues and using an established set of tools and processes, motivate changes to Allison’s business model where desirable to offer greater value to customers and new revenue opportunities for Allison
Clearly and concisely communicate the business impact of OEM regulatory changes to the wider organization, offering a range of potential solutions and recommendations
Capture feedback from engagement with customers, channel, internal collaborators and other partners on regulatory topics as part of Allison’s process to create customer value
Engage with external consultancies, governmental organizations, global engine manufacturers and other bodies that are responsible for developing or implementing global regulations
Educate the rest of the MSS team what it needs to know for each individual to implement to the highest standards in the face of a changing OEM regulatory environment
Key Performance Measures:
Timely translation and simplification of detailed regulatory interpretation into key takeaways and actions for the MSS org – aligned with monthly report out opportunities to MSS leadership
Turn regulatory burden into opportunity by driving incremental revenue wherever possible
Successfully secure approvals for necessary commercial terms surrounding regulatory opportunities, in line with existing process timelines
Effectively educate the MSS organization on regulations – train the trainer
Qualifications and Experience:
Technical or MBA degree to Masters level or above
5+ years Allison or commercial vehicle industry experience, preferably with responsibilities aligned with external customers
Hands on experience working with and simplifying complex problems and delivering results within a cross-functional team setting
Excellent communication and presentation skills, preferably with experience presenting to senior leadership
Experience with challenging the status quo and achieving results in the face of resistance
Travel:
- Potential travel opportunities to support key customer engagements both domestically and overseas, but mostly based at Global HQ. Travel time less than 25%
