Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a Resource Facilities Specialist who is responsible for repair and maintenance in all areas of the production facilities. Provide service to keep all facilities operational, including, but not limited to, preventative maintenance of equipment and mechanical support in response to changes resulting from breakdown, malfunction, replacement and/or modification existing systems and equipment. This position is part-time.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and support all aspects facilities maintenance including performing inspections and routine preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities

  • Shipping and receiving equipment; assist in sourcing and procuring equipment and supplies

  • Maintain inventory of equipment while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the warehouse

  • Recording the use of equipment in tracking system for accurate calibration and invoicing

  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for services, maintenance and repairs to equipment.

  • Inspect, diagnose, disassemble, repair/replace electrical and mechanical equipment issues and repair or replace parts accordingly

  • Perform emergency equipment/facility repairs

  • Log all repairs and maintain documentation of repairs completed

  • Maintain all equipment including but not limited to, tractors, skid steer, UTV, seeders, chainsaws, brush cutters, and augers

  • Conduct Health & Safety orientations as required

  • Administrative and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Communicate fluently and effectively, follow verbal and written instructions

  • Basic math and measurements skills

  • Follow diagrams, operation manuals and instructions for troubleshooting

  • Ability and willingness to perform physical requirements of the job

  • Ability to work independently to make decisions with minimal supervision

  • Experience hauling trailers and

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Positive and proactive attitude

  • Dependability and punctuality

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Flexibility to learn new skills

  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience

  • Industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance, general fabrication/welding experience and/or general plumbing experience preferred
