Nexstar Media Group Receptionist in Indianapolis, Indiana

The Receptionist greets and provides customer service. Additionally, the Receptionist manages the lobbby with business acumen. Route telephone calls, takes messages, accepts packages and performs ad hoc clerical duties as needed.

  • Greet emloyees, visitors, guests with astounding professionalism

  • Manage the logistics of guests and clients arriving for Indy Now or newscasts to include managing people signing in and out

  • Answer and route telephone calls, take messages

  • Sort incoming mail and distribute to each department

  • Prepare & Accept packages from other carriers as well as maintaining the log of carrier packages received

  • Clerical tasks to support the daily operation of a television station

  • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements & Skills:

  • A degree in Business or comparable experience

  • Minimum of one year experience in a robust high volume setting to include lobby management, clerical, and/or admin role preferaby in Sales or Media

  • Fluency in English

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to include superb written skills

  • Must possess a high level of professionalism, lobby management, discernment, and exceptional organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and work extremely well with people as this role is often the first assessment for anyone coming to the station or calling the station

  • The abiility to embrace the fluidness of the workplace and prioritize tasks

  • Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
