Product Processor

PRIMARY PURPOSE : To scan, count and/or weigh quantities of material as directed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sorts, counts/weighs and scans all returned product contained within the confines of a return in accordance with specific departmental procedures, on a daily basis.

  • Reads necessary documentation to determine types and quantities of material to measure/count.

  • Maintains the integrity of all documentation that is provided within the return and properly records the information according to departmental procedures.

  • Dispositions materials as prescribed by the training guidelines.

  • Assists with the shipping and receiving of product when required.

  • Maintains compliance to all operational and regulatory standard of practice procedures and adhere to all occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) safety regulations.

  • Maintains compliance with the code of conduct provided within the colleague handbook

  • Willingness to perform other duties as required or requested.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).

  • Travels as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing

High School diploma preferred, or GED required.

Experience

One (1) years of related experience manufacturing or processing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Demonstrates the ability to review and proofread work for accuracy and completes specific areas of assignments, as directed. Concentrates on tasks at hand, even in distracting work environments

  • Demonstrates the ability to respond to customer issues/questions in a timely manner

  • Demonstrates the ability to observe safety and security procedures.

  • Oral and written communication skills

  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reports

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical : Computer keyboarding, travel as required, this position may have exposure to chemical and pharmaceutical products that may cause an allergic response in certain individuals

  • Crouching – frequently bend the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine

  • Fingering – constantly type with the fingers, and/or separate pages of documents, etc,

  • Grasping – constantly apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm

  • Kneeling – occasionally bend legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees

  • Lifting – frequently raise objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. Must be able to exert in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, push or pull objects.

  • Pulling – occasionally use upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion

  • Pushing – occasionally use upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward

  • Reaching – frequently extend hand (s) and arm (s) in any direction

  • Repetitive motion – frequent substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers

  • Sitting – occasionally sit for sustained periods of time

  • Standing – frequently stand for sustained periods of time

  • Stooping – occasionally bend body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist

Auditory/Visual : Hearing, vision and talking
