Responsibilities

As the Producer/Traffic Manager (Communications), you will collaborate with production partners to develop multimedia stories that bring our Ascension experiences to life. Your strong project management skills and knack for collaboration will help us prioritize our work to support Ascension’s business objectives.

As both a creative leader and doer, you are experienced in all aspects of video production and visual design. You’ll be a key part of our creative team working collaboratively with other producers, writers, videographers, photographers and strategists to guide projects from request through the production process. Together, our work will bring Ascension stories to life and elevate them throughout our organization and the communities we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong organization and pre-production support for requested video, photo and design projects

  • Gather and organize information to help quickly evaluate requests and guide multiple creative projects from intake through production and delivery

  • Ensure quality storytelling content is effective and aligned with brand and communications style guidelines

  • Support our system partners and in-market teams, making sure multimedia content is strategic, impactful, on-brand and drives engagement with target audiences

  • Work with other production team members to evaluate performance metrics and identify opportunities for sharing content across internal, external and marketing functions

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners and vendor partners

  • Assist with creative projects as needed including producing, copywriting, editing or other assistance

  • Ensure that content created reflects the Mission, Vision and Values of Ascension as a healing ministry of the Catholic Church

  • Maintain flexible availability and responsiveness both during and outside of normal work hours as necessary

Complexity of Work:

  • As a creative manager for Ascension, this role requires excellent project management skills, a strategic mindset and experience with asset development and management. The ideal candidate will have worked within an agency, newsroom, or organization. Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus. Must be able to work well in a stressful, fast-paced, and flexible environment

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree. 10 years in an internal communications role, ideally with experience working in a healthcare provider system or similar services organization.3 years of leadership or management experience.

Work Experience:

  • At least five years experience as a creative manager or content management professional

  • Strong project management and visual content creation experience

  • Experience planning and managing a multi-faceted production plan

  • Strong collaboration skills with team members and diverse partners

  • Proven communicator and strategist, ideally experienced in matrixed organizations

  • Management experience preferred
