Description:

Responsible for processing all recurring patient equipment and supplies in compliance with payor source requirements.

Position requires strong telephone, verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of customer service principles and practices, attention to detail, and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.

• Work effectively with ICD-10 Codes and CPT codes, Revenue codes, and HCFA 1500 terminologies in accordance with federal, state, and commercial payor-specific regulations pertaining to documentation and coding.

• Submits claims accurately and timely in compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures to meet Accreditation and company standards.

• Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances.

• Monitor, identify and resolve claim discrepancies, denials, appeals, collections with payor sources.

• Ensures complete, accurate and timely fulfillment of patient equipment and supply orders.

• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers; resolves any customer requests in a timely and accurate manner; escalates complaints accordingly.

• Answers the telephone and disburses calls in a friendly, prompt and professional manner. Conveys messages accurately and appropriately.

• Pursues activities with focus and drive, defines work in terms of success, and can be counted on to complete goals.

• Adherence to standards of business conduct and compliance.

• 2+ years of data entry

-1+ years working in a medical billing position that deals with claims, denials, appeals, and redetermination
