Brief Description:
The On-Site Application Engineer will support the metalworking needs of our integrated supply program at our Indianapolis, IN-based customer. Employee will work with our existing team of tooling professionals alongside key customer stakeholders to ensure optimal supply and performance of precision metal cutting tools.
Job Responsibilities:
Interface with customer, provide technical and commercial support for all metalworking needs in assigned plants.
Communicate with suppliers and help establish direct relationships.
Assist the customer’s manufacturing team in identifying and sourcing components.
Manage the flow of tooling assemblies through defined tool setting area.
Expedite and manage schedules to align with customer’s requirements.
Work with the management team, engineering department and office staff to ensure accurate completion of parts.
Prepare sales quotations after researching product and customer requirements.
Additional responsibilities as required.
Education/Credentials:
5 years of experience working with a team supporting large manufacturing facilities.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, specifically CNC machining.
Strong attention to detail.
Customer focused personality.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 70 pounds.
2 or 4 year degree in Engineering, Drafting, or Tool and Die preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and the use of the Internet.
