Brief Description:

The On-Site Application Engineer will support the metalworking needs of our integrated supply program at our Indianapolis, IN-based customer. Employee will work with our existing team of tooling professionals alongside key customer stakeholders to ensure optimal supply and performance of precision metal cutting tools.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interface with customer, provide technical and commercial support for all metalworking needs in assigned plants.

  • Communicate with suppliers and help establish direct relationships.

  • Assist the customer’s manufacturing team in identifying and sourcing components.

  • Manage the flow of tooling assemblies through defined tool setting area.

  • Expedite and manage schedules to align with customer’s requirements.

  • Work with the management team, engineering department and office staff to ensure accurate completion of parts.

  • Prepare sales quotations after researching product and customer requirements.

  • Additional responsibilities as required.

Education/Credentials:

  • 5 years of experience working with a team supporting large manufacturing facilities.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, specifically CNC machining.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Customer focused personality.

  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 70 pounds.

  • 2 or 4 year degree in Engineering, Drafting, or Tool and Die preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and the use of the Internet.
