SUMMARY

The material handler is responsible for the picking, delivery and inventory management of parts and materials within an aircraft hangar environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pick materials per picking assignments generated by customer orders

  • Deliver materials to assigned customers via forklift and or motorized cart

  • Assign materials to locations in hangars and associated aircraft

  • Operate forklift to move materials

  • Un-load trucks and count receipts for accuracy

  • Inventory materials

  • Report damage upon receipts

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years warehouse shipping, receiving or inventory picking experience highly desired. Must possess computer skills and be able to work with minimal supervision. Familiarity with warehousing and supply chain management programs a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to lift 70 pounds.
