Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our high-speed converting facility for corrugated boxes. This is a Just In Time facility, requiring candidates to manage issues from Screen to Fault in troubleshooting.
The role involves keeping all equipment up and running. 80% of the work is reactive, and 20% is preventative. Candidates must understand the operations of a SHEET plant.
Experience with corrugation is strongly preferred! A strong understanding of PLCs is also a benefit.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with high-speed converting equipment
Ensure all equipment remains operational to minimize downtime
Perform reactive and preventative maintenance tasks
Work with electrical systems, including 480-volt troubleshooting
Maintain and repair motors, drives, gear systems, and pulleys
Handle pneumatic systems and controls
Work with various pumps, ink systems, rollers, conveyors, and strappers
Conduct calibrations and change belts as needed
Essential Skills
Experience in the corrugated industry
Electrical troubleshooting with 480 volts
Knowledge of motors and drives
Understanding of gear systems and pulleys
Proficiency with pneumatic systems
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with controls troubleshooting (Siemens, Wiege, Mitsubishi)
PLC troubleshooting skills
Mechanical knowledge
Pump control expertise
Ability to read and interpret schematics
Preventive maintenance skills
Calibration experience

Work Environment
Candidates must be flexible to work 10-hour daily shifts. The facility operates 24 hours per day, 6 days per week. Candidates must be able to work every other weekend. The current available shift is mornings/early shift Monday-Friday, with shift times ranging from 5am to 10pm. Candidates will choose 5 10-hour shifts. There is also a lead position available, paying up to $40 per hour on the night shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of the east side of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.00/hr.
