Associate Landscape Architect - Indianapolis, IN

We are hiring an Associate Landscape Architect to join an Engineering and Design team in Indianapolis, IN. This individual will work directly with senior staff performing Landscape Planning and Design on various projects. This would be the second Landscape Architect for the company, as they will be working directly under a Professional Landscape Architect within the Civil Site Design team. The Civil Team consists of 11 members, including Engineers and Design Technicians. This person will primarily focus on Landscape Architecture and will not be doing Civil Design. There will be a lot of collaboration between the Site Design professionals and Landscape Architects. This is a great way for someone with just a couple years of experience to receive direct development and training from a industry expert, while partnering with a wide variety of stakeholders on a strong backlog of projects.

Projects and Job Description:

  • Projects primarily include Public Projects such as Schools, Universities, Parks, Hospitals, and Multi-Family & Mixed-Use Developments.

  • This team works on projects through their entire Project Lifecycle, from the Conceptual Phase, Schematic Design, Design/Material Selections, Construction Document Preparation, to Construction Support.

  • This person will contribute to the Planning, Design, and Implementation of Landscape Architecture projects.

  • This person will collaborate with Senior Landscape Architects, Project Managers, and Multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet client expectations and project goals.

  • This role requires a blend of Technical Expertise, Design Creativity, Project Management skills, and the ability to Communicate Effectively with stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture

  • Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) or eligibility to pursue licensure in the near future

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Landscape Architecture, preferably in a design firm or consultancy

  • Proficiency in Design Software - AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Microsoft Office
