Information Technology Internship

Primary Purpose:

This internship opportunity with Heritage Environmental Services is a 12-week program where you are immersed in your assigned department gaining real hands-on experience and participating in 12-15 different events with the intern cohort.

The IT Intern at Heritage Environmental Services will assist the IT team in application needs and technical support with hands-on learning opportunities across the department. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within an environmentally focused organization.

Essential Functions & Requirements:

• Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

• Support and extend existing and new applications by interacting with application users to develop specifications and execute program tasks to make code changes.

• Develop process documentation and assist with training during application and business process changes.

• Provide second level end user technical support for key business applications.

• Assist in overcoming design, development, and/or implementation challenges using new software tools and techniques.

• Other duties as assigned.

  Education:

• Candidate must be a full-time enrolled college student pursing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Systems, or related field (required)

  Competencies:

• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job. Must be able to complete a minimum of 10 out of 12 weeks.
