Description

We are in search of an HR Business Partner to join our client's team located in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana. In this role, you will be instrumental in handling various HR functions such as employee relations, policy development, and compliance with labor laws. You will be part of a dynamic team in the industry, offering an exciting opportunity to enhance your skills and contribute to our goals.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to general customer service inquiries related to HR issues

• Develop, update, and distribute employee handbooks

• Manage employee relations and address any issues that may arise

• Prepare separation and release agreements as needed

• Ensure compliance with Department of Labor minimum salary requirements

• Coordinate training and development initiatives

• Handle heavy employee relations cases and provide solutions

• Utilize web-based tools for learning, compliance, and performance management

• Manage Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

• Conduct regular audits of background checks and employee records

• Maintain and update SIC/SOC codes as necessary

• Carry out quarterly FLSA audits and mid-year state increases

• Handle EEO-1 reporting and FMLA covered employer tracking

• Oversee Workers’ Compensation administration

• Ensure labor law posters are updated and displayed appropriately

• Conduct audits for I-9 expirations.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar HR Generalist role

• Proficiency in Employee Relations

• Familiarity with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Proficiency in using HR software and computer applications

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

• Knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
