The Healthcare Solutions Architect - Digital Pathology for Leica Biosystems is responsible for Pre-Sales Post-Sales, Implementation and support of the Digital Pathology product line.

This position is part of the North American Digital Pathology Sales organization covering, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania and will be fully remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual product sales goals set for the territory.

  • Execute product demonstrations for clients at the correct sales stage in SFDC, maintaining a closed/won success rate of >60%.

  • Clearly communicate complex and technical product information as well as technical IT and networking information to a variety of customer stakeholders and serve as technical expert for digital pathology hardware (scanners) and related software products.

  • Travel overnight as necessary (estimated at 50%) for all pre- and post-sales activities, such as customer appointments, trade shows and customer trainings. Customer call activity will be a balance of existing customers accounts to expand our current base, meeting with active opportunities and prospecting for new opportunities in the assigned geography

  • Coordinate sales activities within national, multi-site, laboratory accounts by interacting with other departments in the organization to ensure the proper handling of customer requirements, completing documentation of Solution Design (DPIP) with the key stakeholders to facilitate fast implementation of client orders and facilitate customer readiness by ensuring we have all required logistic and IT information to drive implementation of scanners to <45 days from receipt of purchase order.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Degree in Life Sciences or in Business and/or Pathology experience preferred

  • Prior capital sales experience preferred

  • Excellent selling/presentation skills, relationship building, negotiating, closing, account management, time management and customer relations/service skills

  • Capacity for strategic thinking/planning as well as tactical implementation

  • Understanding of complex IT networks within health care settings

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – 50% travel, overnight, within territory or other locations

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb, any other physical requirements

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Histology laboratory experience

  • Digital Pathology Experience

  • Extensive IT Network and Data Storage experience

The salary range for this role is $105,000 - $125,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
