Robert Half Finance Director in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Finance Director in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role primarily revolves around technical accounting, with a particular emphasis on tax-related matters.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all financial activities of the organization

• Ensure the organization is compliant with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Lead tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position while mitigating risks.

• Prepare and/or review tax filings, addressing all technical tax-related issues.

• Serve as the primary liaison with external tax advisors and auditors to address tax-related matters

• Coordinate with other departments to prepare budgets and financial forecasts

• Monitor and analyze financial performance against key business metrics

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements under GAAP and other applicable standards.

• Provide guidance on complex technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, leases, and other areas of reporting.

• Collaborate with executive team to make decisions based on financial analysis and projections

Requirements

• Must hold a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• A minimum of 10 years of finance experience, preferably in a leadership role.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of tax laws and regulations.

• Proven experience in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and complete all technical accounting activities.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Proficient in the use of financial software and applications.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is advantageous.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.

• Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills.

• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
