What is the job about?

Grundfos is seeking a Business Manager for our global Industry team to be based in North America.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and driving the execution of the OEM IT-cooling organisation through the full value chain. As part of the strategy transformation of the Industry Division, you will be covering market trend assessments, external stakeholder management (including C-suite), offering development, operations and commercial alignment, together with the functional responsible.

You will drive the co-development of new technologies together with customers, partners and internal stakeholders, as advance adopters of new intelligent Pumps and Solutions. You will also functionally lead a global dedicated, ring-fenced cross functional team.

You will report directly to the Senior Director for Business Development, Industry and will operate remotely out of any location in the US. Travel will be expected for this role.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Lead a dedicated, ring-fenced cross functional team to develop, in detail, and execute the IT-Cooling OEM growth plan to take us to $150 m business “) in 3-5 years’ time, with a focus on selling Pumps and Solutions with integrated drives to the OEM IT-Cooling CPU rack builders

  • Actively develop and implement business growth strategies, with a focus on North America, Europe, China, India and East-Asia in collaboration with Industry and Commercial Building Services business units.

  • Ensure that supply chain becomes a strategic advantage by securing plant capacity and implementing accurate forecasting models to effectively meet complex demand patterns.

  • Develop and support implementation of ongoing plans for product development, from prototype to scalability.

  • Develop strategies to monitor and react to competitors in collaboration with regional sales, and Industry leadership team.

  • Support development of relevant training programs for the Industry sales organization.

  • Scope and implement an optimal customer support setup.

  • Closely collaborate with product teams to develop customer centric solutions, product, systems and solutions implementation.

  • Support the development of mid and long-term scenarios as the market evolves.

  • Report monthly on key KPIs and business outlook (0-18 months, 1-3 years).

  • Important: Ensure visibility of Grundfos by attending e.g. conferences and customer meetings

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree as a minimum, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience of relevant professional and leadership experience.

  • Proven experience developing and executing key strategic initiatives within a complex business environment, demonstrating high sales growth.

  • Experience working in a global environment is an advantage.

  • Strong project and program management of end-to-end complex business projects.

  • Prior P&L responsibility is desirable.

  • Extensive experience operating and leading teams.

  • Experience with cooling from a product, OEM or end-user perspective

  • Possess good verbal & written communication skills in the English language.

  • The ability to present to, and train, an audience.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels & in all different types of environments.

  • Proficient with networking.

  • Willingness to travel up to 30-40 % (overnight travel).

  • Ability to travel internationally (maintain an active passport).

  • Knowledge of the data center industry
