ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, SCHOOL BASED SERVICES

KANSAS CITY / INDEPENDENCE

Burrell is expanding our School Based Services into the Kansas City area. We are seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Director, School Based Services.

Job Duties:

  • Supervise the supervisors for the School-Based Services Department. May also supervise School-Based Support Specialists or Clinicians when needed by the department. Oversee productivity expectations for these providers/teams. Monitor program requirements and chart deficiencies. Provide ongoing training/coaching to staff. Provide guidance for and witness to HR issues such as interviewing for open positions, counseling and discipline, and leave.

  • Identify training needs for staff, create training to meet needs, provide ongoing training to School-Based Services Department.

  • Provides individual, group, family and/or other practical counseling, utilizing his/her experience and ability to meet the needs of the client and the goals of treatment, and engages in any other activities that meet those needs and goals. These responsibilities are as directed by supervisor.

  • Carries a limited caseload, the size and nature of which is to be established with supervisory staff.

  • Is responsive to all Quality Assurance procedures of Burrell, cooperates with utilization review procedures, and follows established procedures, rules and regulations of the Clinical Records Department.

  • Performs other special functions as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • LPC, LCSW, or LP license in Missouri.

  • Experience in mental health or related field working with youth and families.
