POSITION: Registered Nurse Outpatient Manager (Unclassified)
LOCATION: Lallie Kemp Medical Center, Independence, Louisiana
DEPARTMENT: Outpatient Clinic
Description: Incumbent will serve as head nurse to provide supervision of nursing care and Ambulatory Clinics. This is a highly skilled position, requiring an advanced level of management and supervisory skills as well as clinical nursing skills. The incumbent will assess, plan, coordinate, direct and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients in the designated units. In addition, the incumbent will coordinate the clinics quality and compliance programs.
Minimum Qualifications Requirements: A baccalaureate degree in Nursing, possession of a valid Louisiana License or temporary permit to practice nursing, plus five (5) years of professional level nursing experience. A Master’s degree in Nursing may substitute for the two (2) years of the required general experience. A Doctorate degree in Nursing may substitute for three (3) years of required general experience. An Associate degree with an additional two (2) years of professional level experience may substitute for the baccalaureate degree. A Nursing diploma and an additional three (3) years of professional level experience may be substituted for the baccalaureate degree.
Desired: Hospital Nursing Administration experience, Experience in an acute care hospital setting and Proficient in Windows and Microsoft software.
