KEY ACTIVITIES

• Implement Sunroc mission (Building a Better Community) and core values (We Value People, Our Word is Our Bond, Always Give a Full Measure, We Continuously Improve).

• Organize and supervise a grade crew.

• Assist with pre-paving planning on paving passes, mix type, compaction effort, trucking, and lift thickness.

• Able to read and understand project plans.

• Good communication skills for working with owners/project managers.

• Communicate trucking needs, quantity and quality of mix and quality of paving job.

  KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Strong working knowledge regarding the operation, safety, and maintenance of equipment in use.

• Ability to safely operate equipment in the presence of field crew and utilities ensuring the safety of all persons, equipment, property, and utilities in the area.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• 1-year minimum experience as a paving crew supervisor.

• CDL is a plus.

  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to bend, sit for long periods, and work in the heat.

  ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 18 years or older.

• Documentation that proves eligibility to work in the U.S.

• Attention and commitment to safety.

• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

• Strong work ethic.
