Revenue Accounting Manager

Job Description:

As part of the Global Finance Organization, the North America Finance Operations Team is established to manage transactional processing services across North America within Sage. In this hybrid role, you will manage some of the General Ledger Accountants team with a focus on revenue. Every day, in this multifaceted role you will be accountable for timely and accurate processing of operational accounting leading into accurate period close/reporting.

In your first 90 days, you will become acclimated with your team consisting of 6 Accountants, covering various areas that deliver revenue and revenue related accounts. You will implement improvement plans, ensuring balance sheet accounts are valid, accurate, complete and begin working to review Independent Software Vendors, and contracts of various types.

Key Responsibilities:

What You'll do:

You will deliver accurate and timely financials for revenue related accounts and provide insight to stakeholders, complete external audits with no material adjustments, and ensure internal audits are successfully completed. You will provide internal partners with support and guidance on accounting principles, maintain strong partner relationships, and manage the team while enforcing policies and agreements.

What You'll be Responsible for:

The General Ledger Accountants Team responsibilities' focus on balance sheets for risk controls, business control frameworks, system interfaces (multiple areas), revenue, royalties, ISV contract review, BP contract review, customer acquisition costs, monthly commentary, but role will evolve.

You will be responsible for the correct application of IFRS standards especially revenue (IFRS 15 & 9) and any relevant judgments to technical accounting. You will oversee the timely completion of journal entry reviews, postings, reconciliations, and financial trend analyses to ensure accurate recording. You will lead and manage the Revenue General Ledger Accountants team, fostering a service-oriented culture, and build key relationships across Finance and other Business stakeholders. You will drive continuous improvement in processes, streamline end-to-end operations, and ensure adherence to Sage's internal controls and governance. Additionally, you will develop work plans, set KPIs, and prioritize team tasks while providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to align with Sage values.

The Skills You'll Need:

• You will need to have your CPA for this position

• You will need a background in audit

• You should have strong technical accountancy skills with a proven history of driving change

and continuous improvement

• You should be experienced partnering with stakeholder relationships across all levels of an

organization with established team leadership and management skills

• 5+ years of applicable experience
