Cape Cod Healthcare, Inc. HR Data & Compliance Specialist in Hyannis, Massachusetts
Purpose of Position: The HR Data & Compliance Specialist ensures compliance with federal, state, & applicable JCAHCO standards for new & existing employees while maintaining, analyzing, & reporting on HR data. This role involves maintaining the integrity of HR systems, supporting data-driven decision-making, & ensuring the organization adheres to legal & regulatory requirements. Description Prepares & facilitates the timely processing of staff data while maintaining strict confidentiality; Provides general HRIS support including, but not limited to, data entry, data audits, & assisting with various projects; Assists with group data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups, & researches/reports on any data discrepancies; Documents processes & makes recommendations for improvement; Maintains proficiency in data entry/processing of HR data changes following applicable processes to include, but not limited to, employment status changes, new hires, employee terminations, rate changes, transfers & demographic changes; Reports system issues & potential errors in a timely manner; May perform daily, weekly & monthly data audits on electronic HR records to verify accuracy of the data & to identify potential issues; Assists with the review, testing, & implementation of HR system upgrades or bundles; Assists in researching & analyzing HR related compliance issues; Audits for compliance with HR personnel record policies, I-9, E-Verify, document retention, labor law postings, & adherence with applicable federal & state laws, regulations & JCAHO standards; Partner with IT & HR teams to optimize HRIS functionality & resolve technical issues; Verifies compliance requirements per JD & Inputs compliance related data into Person Profile for each new hire; Coordinates with Talent Associates to obtain any missing compliance requirements; Organizes, maintains, & audits employee files, ensuring accuracy & completeness; Audits I-9 documentation for accuracy & completeness; Provides backup support for other members of the HR team as assigned; Performs other work-related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience 2+ years of experience in HR compliance, HRIS, or related role Knowledge of, & practical experience with, Oracle/PeopleSoft is highly desirable Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite including the ability to manipulate data in Excel; Strong attention to detail & organization skills; Strong customer service skills/experience; Ability to use & learn basic & intermediate-level systems; Ability to create/generate reports in various formats; Understanding of terms & concepts relevant to job practices; Ability to analyze & synthesize information, & to present results & recommendations in a clear & concise manner; Must be able to multi-task & prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Schedule Details: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, No Weekends & No Holidays
