About this position:
This Intern position will be an instrumental part of the Customer Care team at NorthWestern Energy, working directly with the community relations team across our service territory. Responsibilities will support a variety of initiatives including nuclear project outreach, community engagement, and strategic development, in addition to event planning, AMI (Automated Metering Infrastructure) communication outreach, and brand enhancement.
About this job:
Create brand enhancement to support ongoing company initiatives.
Gain strong understanding from subject matter experts and relate knowledge to public and customers
Collaborate with the team on nuclear project surveys, data collection, and analysis
Manage and update databases for nuclear contacts, including local and national interest groups
Coordinate and assist volunteer efforts and various ceremonies.
Assist in the completion and technology integration for a media room.
Facilitate general community meetings and promote engagement.
Represent NorthWestern Energy at community events and booths.
Update and maintain the mailing list for outreach activities.
Contribute to SF area gas expansion initiatives.
Engage with SMB customers to strengthen relationships.
Communicate with new key account customers to provide support and solutions.
Interact with stakeholders to identify problems and develop requirements for solutions.
Exhibit an enthusiasm for the utility industry, introducing and educating customers on the industry.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills to evaluate/troubleshoot complex issues.

Must possess strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Business, Marketing, Journalism, Communications or Media related degree path required
Must be in good academic standing
Student must have completed Freshman level or higher by start date
Must Provide GPA in Resume upon application
Must possess strong customer service and computer technology skills
Strong written/oral communication and documentation skills
Strong aptitude to understand current technology trends, Utility directives, clean energy standards, or automation
Self-starter who pursues self-education and is customer focused
