Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies Company, is seeking a Warehouse Logistics Material Handler at the Advance Manufacturing Facility, Huntsville, AL location.

Under general supervision, the Logistics Material Handler will perform manual and clerical tasks related to the receiving, movement, storage, disbursement, packaging, and shipping of sensitive materials, equipment, tooling, and supplies. This position will report to the AMF Logistics Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Records information regarding materials received and shipped in the department computer system.

  • Packaging and handling materials within company guidelines.

  • Cycle counting activities – performing counts/recounts, researching lost items, completing cycle count records.

  • Counting and/or weighing incoming parts to verify receipt.

  • Ensuring that all materials requiring inspection are moved to the proper locations.

  • Separating and moving materials, equipment and supplies to and from stores, warehouses, Operations, and Test areas.

  • Unloading trucks ensuring that all material and receiving paperwork is complete accurate and accounted for.

  • After inspection is completed, verifying that inspection stamps, signatures, quantities and acceptance tags or labels are accounted for.

  • Ability to work independently in a warehouse environment is needed.

  • A valid Driver's License is required.

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and be capable of using information and reports to improve department processes, services, and efficiency.

  • Experience with operating forklifts, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse functions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a plus.

  • Experience with Oracle/Maestro or similar Warehouse operating systems is desired.
