Title:

Senior Technical Advisor, Air and Missile Defense

As a Senior Technical Advisor, you will play a critical role performing research, developing M&S, developing tactical software, determining performance metrics, evaluating algorithms and system performance, and advising management, and leadership (Government and KBR). You will support our project managers and work closely with subcontractors and government customers, focusing on strategic planning and execution for PEO MS Integrated Fires projects. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, highly experienced in cross technical disciplined domains, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This job is seeking someone with deep subject matter expertise in tracking as related to air and missile defense systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical engineering and problem solving for Air and Missile Defense (AMD) System of System problems.

  • Develop algorithms and explore concepts related to AMD System of Systems including radar, battle management, fire control, and interceptor technologies.

  • Develop models and simulations of AMD systems.

  • Develop metrics, analyze data, and assess performance of AMD and PEO MS systems.

  • Lead technical development of solutions for PEO MS missions including development of a common track picture, sensor resource management, engagement coordination, and optimizations related to AMD.

  • Perform analysis applying appropriate scientific and engineering processes and modeling techniques to the life cycle development of systems.

  • Support planning and execution of system performance analysis, independent performance assessments, post-test analysis and simulation Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) activities.

  • Maintain and improve large scale simulations to support multiple missions and integrate existing models from mission partners into simulations.

  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support during execution of analysis for Hardware In-the Loop (HWIL), Digital Modeling and Simulation (M&S), and analysis tasks.

  • Design and develop algorithms in Kalman filtering techniques, data association, sensor correlation, sensor fusion, and optimization to support AMD Fires functionality.

  • Develop software including modeling and simulation efforts, tactical software, and/or automation of analysis tools.

  • Develop requirements and architecture for simulation framework development.

  • Participate in M&S Meetings.

  • Prepare technical briefings and reports, and brief stakeholders to keep all parties apprised of analysis product accomplishments and issues.

    Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

  • Certified Engineering Degree, advanced degree preferred

  • 12-15 Years’ Experience

  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance.
