The Boeing Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) Quality organization is seeking Senior Quality Inspectors in Huntsville, AL in the Electronic Center of Excellence.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Uses and interprets DoD, NASA and Boeing blueprints, specifications, directives, documents, manuals, inspection plans and other similar information pertaining to Quality Assurance.

  • Sets up and operates measuring instruments and equipment necessary to accomplish work assignments.

  • Follows inspection and statistical sampling procedures to accept or reject materials and adjust inspection levels.

  • Interprets statistical process control charts and coordinate corrective actions and adjustments with quality engineering.

  • Moves materials from place to place within the work area. This material can include not only parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies, but also tools, jigs, equipment, documentation, and other supplies as necessary for inspection and or assembly/test of products. This may include the packaging or unpackaging of raw material and/or finished products.

  • Sets up equipment and performs test on various products and assemblies using manual, semi-automatic, or automated test devices.

  • Witnesses, evaluates, certifies and records certification test data and maintain personal certifications as work requires.

  • Inspects incoming and outgoing shipments for proper identification, quantity, damage, packaging, paperwork, shipping instructions, and perform appropriate dimensional, composition, non-destructive, destructive and inspection.

  • Reviews recurring discrepancies to ascertain cause and corrections required.

  • Reviews completed inspection records to assure compliance with pertinent written directives and other program direction.

  • Conducts internal reviews to assure compliance with the Quality Manual and other procedures such as Quality Instructions, Sampling Plans and Operating Procedures.

  • Prepares and edit reports for approval by supervision.

  • Assists Manufacturing QA Manager in continuous process improvement efforts.

  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Maintains licenses, permits and certifications required to perform assigned work.

  • Performs other duties as assigned within general job classification.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Candidates must be willing to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (Secret) for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More that 1 year of experience working with circuit card and/or electronics manufacturing

  • Experience working to J-STD-001

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must be willing to work any shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience performing dimensional, composition, non-destructive, destructive and/or electrical/electronic inspections

  • Experience with gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)

Typical Education / Experience:

High School graduate and Associates Degree or equivalent combination of HS degree and experience

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $20.00/Hr. - $26.00/Hr.
