Position Overview:

KODA Technologies, Inc. is seeking aSenior Materials Engineerto join our team.Be a part of the new space age as a member of a team building NASA's Orion Spacecraft. The Orion Spacecraft will take humans farther than they've ever gone before and return them safely back to Earth. The Materials SME will support the redesign of heatshield avcoat blocks and delta qualification program planning and execution. This role is crucial in overseeing material strategies and achieving program goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Demonstrate program and project management expertise to ensure the smooth planning and execution of materials processes.
  • Present materials issues to the spacecraft design/engineering team, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel at technical exchange meetings and formal design reviews
  • Work interactively with multiple engineering fields in a fast-paced environment to develop cost-effective solutions to thermal control requirements which also satisfy producibility objectives defined by Manufacturing and Quality groups

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM
  • Experience with Avcoat or other ablative materials
  • Experience with Non-Destructive Experiment (NDE) evaluation techniques and capabilities
  • Experience with material allowable test planning and execution

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with probability of detection test plan development and execution
  • Hands-on experience with use of bonding materials, processes and techniques
  • Experience with NASA programs

  • Proof of U.S. citizenship
  • Work Location: TBD or Remote
