Mercury Systems Quality Engineer II in Huntsville, Alabama
In this role, you have the opportunity to: • Become a valuable asset to Mercury's quality organization and grow within an industry-leading supplier of Micro-electronic assemblies. • Be part of a fast-paced, challenging environment with continuous opportunities Within this role, you are responsible for: • Develop, monitor, and re-define internal operating procedures by means of regular internal process audits to uphold QMS Requirements to AS9100:D • Develop and Maintain visible Quality KPI's and associated actions (FPY, RTY, DPPM, etc...) • Monitor and Drive COPQ initiatives (Scrap reduction, escapes, RMA) • Hold regular MRB activities with follow-up status and actions • Address production-related Quality issues as they arise • Interact daily with Engineering and Production to monitor production yields and drive improvement actions • Assist with ESD and FOD Programs as necessary. • Development of Manufacturing Quality Plans based on customer SOW Required Qualifications: B.S. Degree in Engineering preferred with experience in Quality Assurance and/or inspection with 2+ years of experience • Versed in ISO / AS Industry standards o Space Industry experience is considered an asset • Familiar with LEAN/6S Methodology • RCCA • Highly Organized, Motivated, with Excellent Communication abilities • Ability to multi-task • Follow-up consistency • Strong decision-making abilities • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other metric-building tools: o Pareto o Data analysis o Trends Preferred Qualifications: * Ability to report discrepancies in company system * Ability to handle various "form type" documentation - Internal Forms - Customer Forms - Supplier Forms * Ability to prioritize daily workload with minimal direction * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to create concise, accurate written documents of high quality * Interacts with customers and suppliers in a professional manner * Strong organizational skills * Ability to lead and direct other * Knowledge of SMT componentry considered an asset * IPC-610 preferred "This position requires you to access information that is subject to U.S. export regulations.
