COLSA Corporation Lead Program Engineer-UAS Program in Huntsville, Alabama
General Summary
COLSA Corporation is seeking cadidates for a Program Engineer that will serve as the lead engineer for a UAS program. The Program Engineer will be responsible for the oversight of all engineering aspects of the program.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
Performs advanced engineering duties as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.*
Applies knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering to solve basic problems
Designs a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
Participates on multidisciplinary teams
Identifies, formulates, and finds solutions to engineering problems
Plans, designs and estimates time and cost on specific engineering projects
Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures and provides advice on issues within the engineering field

Required SkillsRequired Experience
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field of study or equivalent experience
Minimum of 20 years related experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance within 6 months of hire; US Citizenship required
Product design using SolidWorks and manufacturing experience
Carbon fiber, 3D additive, and other advanced manufacturing knowledge using lightweight materials
Experience with UAS design
Supply Chain knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership experience managing schedules and product deliveries
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Rapid prototyping experience
